I saw this movie late at night on HBO about a year ago. It starts with a young boy and his older brother going out at night and doing LSD. It takes place in the 1960s or 70s but is a newer film. Then there was a party at his parents house and the little boy was sitting on the stairs watching while his older brother ran through the glass sliding doors and died. Later on in life he meets this guy in school that he becomes close friends with and shortly after his father dies and he is orphaned so the friends parents take him in to their family. They all bond and when it comes time to go off to college the friend leaves and he stays behind to learn how to cook with the mother. Then he leaves to go to the place where his friend moved to and meets his friends girlfriend. His friend turns out to be bisexual and prostitutes himself out to other men and eventually gets HIV. The main character and the girl hook up and eventually she becomes pregnant and the 3 of them find a home together. At the end of the movie the girl leaves with the baby and they gay guy dies. PLEASE HElP ME FIGURE OUT THE NAME OF THIS MOVIE!! It's driving me CRAZY trying to think of it!!
