    Cantilevered floor needs enclosed
One wall of my kitchen is a cantilevered floor, extending 3 feet past the concrete wall of the crawl space, it is structurally sound. The base of the wall is at or very near ground level. The joists are covered with a piece plywood that also appears sound. The house is a stucco exterior.
The previous owner enclosed this space with bricks and patio stones that are unsightly as well as they have shifted and the area is now home for some chipmunks. I need to enclose this space with a more permanent solution knowing I need to maintain air ventilation of this enclosed space.
I am leaning towards soffit materials, probably the vinyl for its durability and with the several holes will solve the breathing issue as well. I will need to find a means of attaching this to the floor area and anchor it to the ground, possibly by burial of a few inches (?).
I am open to all suggestions and only offer my ideas as a starting point. Of course being retired cost is a major issue as well.

    Thanks in advance.
