Hi, currently I am about a week late for my period, however I took two pregnancy tests and both came up negative. I researched the possibilities of false negatives, however the sources I found stated that it is almost impossible for a false negative to occur 14 days after ovulation, and when I took the tests I was around 26-28 days after ovulation. I know this may sound extremely dumb, but I am a virgin and not sexually active however I have 'released' my boyfriend before. During these instances however, there was always a barrier of clothing and nothing was done to me after where there is a chance for pregnancy to occur, especially if sperm dies within 10 min of hitting the air. The only reason I took the pregnancy test was that other research stated that it was still possible to become pregnant this way. With pregnancy ruled out, I am still not entirely sure why I am still so late for my period. I am currently starting college for the first time in the fall and leave in a few short weeks, so ultimately my question is can anxiety and stress cause me to miss my period? I also began the Dukan Diet around two weeks ago and am wondering if this may also be a cause?
