    Adoption birth certificate
    My step dad will be adopting me. I was born in Georgia but we will have the adoption done in Puerto Rico. Will my new birth certificate be a Puerto Rican one? Thanks.

    Replacement birth certificates are done through the state in which you were residing at the time the adoption was finalized.
