    Air conditioner draws current when turned off
    This is a new split type air conditioner/heat pump. When the unit is not running it still shows a constant current drain of 1.1 amps as measured with my clip-on current probe. This may be normal with some air conditioners but I'm wondering if it would cause damage if I turned off the breaker during the winter months.
