Help with a film name please
This is an old film, although I don't know how old. It is set, as far as I can remember, in Ireland and is about a prisoner who is sentenced to hang. There is a possibility of a pardon and the big theme is about the waiting for the pardon to arrive before the time of the execution. I seem to remember that the pardon delivery was deliberately (?) held up and the prisoner was executed. I also have a vague notion that the film was entitled something like The Queer Man, but the word "Queer" was spelt rather peculiarly. Can anyone help with the actual title and perhaps who was in it, please?
