Plumbing: how to change valves on dual handle kitchen mixer tapt
A plumber has fitted the tap so that the handles are horizontal in the water off position, whereas we expected vertical. Does anyone know if this can be rectified by 'changing the valves' and, if so, how we would do this? Many thanks.

I am replacing a single handle kitchen faucet with a dual handle but there is only one supply line. Is there something special I need to do?
Why does my plumbing for my mixer valve go from 1/2'' to 3/4''.

My pipes go from 1/2'' to 3/4'', with the 3/4'' pipe capped at the top and measures an additional 12'' long. The lines going to the mixer valve come off the 3/4'' at the bottom, but are still 1/2''. Why is it plumbed in this manner? And should I plumb it the same when I change the mixer?
The hot water won't come out of my mixer taps in the kitchen

I had a leak in my toilet and that was fixed and then straight away the hot water stopped coming out of my mixer tap in the kitchen, the cold water is fine.
