Loss of parental rights, child support
A year ago, my wife and I separated, she kept the children, but DHS got involved, and took them into foster care... we have been fighting to try and get them back, but termination hearing is coming up now, and there seems to be no light at the end of this tunnel... I've been ordered to pay almost 600 dollars a month in child support for them, and I was wondering, if we lose this case, which is a good possibility, and they get placed with an adoptive family, are they still able to collect child support from me?

I find it disturbing that you are more concerned about the $600 a month than losing your children BUT, NO, if they are adopted they have new parents. They are no longer your legal children.

Why were they taken? This was a year ago and there is no change, a termination hearing scheduled?

I also want to know WHY they were taken and why if taken from their mother, were they not placed with you. And I agree with JKT, you definitely seem more concerned about the money, but the way I am reading it, is it possible that you WANT them to continue to collect? That would definitely change my opinion of you so far!
    Something very strange here.

He didn't ask if he's still able to pay support. He said: "are they still able to collect child support from me?"

Makes me think that's the #1 concern.
