Father harassing me through my daughter's cell phone.
The court asked if there was a number my kids father could call to contact them. I gave him my 14 yr old cell number because I was afraid of harassment. He has been using her cell to harrass me and my husband. My daughter has been saving the harassing phone calls as well as the derogatory messages he sends her by text. This is stressing her out so much. He asks her questions about me and tries to bully her to give him my cell number. She cries about wanting to get her number changed but I told her I can't change it. He has to have a number to call. He tells her if I don't talk to him or meet with him he will put me in jail. My daughter is afraid he is going to try and hurt me.I live in Texas I don't know what to do. He is taking me back to court saying I won't let him talk to the kids. But he has bedn talking to them. The police told my daughter when starts talking violently to just hang up the phone. I don't know what to do he is using telephone communication to harrass me and threaten us. I refuse to talk to him he has even told my daughter that I'm still in love with him and I'm cheating on my husband. Why would you tell your child things like that. He is pushing her away. She will be 15 in 2 months. Please if you have any advice let me know.

I think the solution is simple - take the cell phone away from your daughter and get her a new cell phone, new number. You take her phone. When your "ex" calls see what the message is, either call him back or don't or have the children call him back or don't.

He's taking you back to Court anyway - and I'm not sure why. He appears to be talking to your daughter, at least - and take the phone with the text messages and harassment on it with you. PROVE what he is doing.

Ask the Court to have your daughter speak to a Court-appointed therapist or professional to evaluate the stress this is causing her.

Can the court allow him to keep doing this.

No, the child is first and foremost. The fact that she has been placed between all of this mess is beyond me. Get her a new phone right away. By allowing it to continue your participating in creating this environment.

Keep the phone as has been said. Use it only and strictly for phone calls to and from him. It will make things much easier to track that way. Judy gave excellent advice and I agree. You should follow it.
