    If I owe taxes to the State can they take it out of my SSA backpay
    I am waiting on my Disability backpay and I owe State income tax can they take it out of my backpay I have already made payment arrangements with the IRS for the Federal taxes..

    Yes, the state can and WILL get payment for the back taxes from the large lump sum disability payment.
