    Irish law can stepchildren claim on estate if there is no will no blood line
    In Irish law how would my family of 5] 2brothers 3 sisters was 7 lost 2, We are now adults lost mum and stepfather they were Married for over 30 years and my mum died before my stepfather then he died 3 years age he left no will and we no there is no bloodline we are wanting to claim on the estate as my mum said at the time it would be nice if you could all live here but no will he was good man

    The Irish probate law is here. It appears to be similar to the probate law in place in the rest of the English-speaking world in that step-children inherit nothing.

    Was he survived by siblings? If not, are there descendants of such siblings?

    "69.—(1) If an intestate dies leaving neither spouse nor issue nor parent, his estate shall be distributed between his brothers and sisters in equal shares, and, if any brother or sister does not survive the intestate, the surviving children of the deceased brother or sister shall, where any other brother or sister of the deceased survives him, take in equal shares the share that their parent would have taken if he or she had survived the intestate.

    (2) If an intestate dies leaving neither spouse nor issue nor parent nor brother nor sister, his estate shall be distributed in equal shares among the children of his brothers and sisters."
