    Endometriosis
Hello I am 22 years old and 2 years ago I found out I had endometriosis. I got it treated and was free of it for 2 years. About a couple months ago I had the same symptoms and found out I have endometriosis again. My doctor is saying that since it is only mild we aren't going to treat it. My question is since I have not only a history but a family history of endometriosis should I get it treated or let it go like the doctor says?

That's tricky. If you don't get it treated and it progresses it could increase your chances of not being able to have children in the future, and cause more pain for you as it progresses. If you don't get treatment you might want to have regular check ups to make sure it's not getting worse. Good luck I'm 17 and have the same problem.

I would suggest getting a different doctor. Especially if you have such a heavy background of it. Endometriosis is pretty severe either as long or short term. Fertility can be a huge problem for you if you don't get it treated. Good luck definitely !
