    John deere LX172 lawn tractor
    My mower starts fine but when I try to engage the blade or put it in gear it kills the motor.I have no wiring schematic so I cqant trouble shoot. Has anyone ever run into this problem? Please help

I had to replace the belts in my tractor, and hence had to remove the clutch etc. to do so. Now that I have it back together, the clutch does not disengage the belts and stop the tractor correctly. I assume this is either an adjustment on the clutch, or the belt itself. Can anyone help with this??...
