I had Finished lunch at 1:30 and had a 10 oz beer and a 20 oz glass of water. I was called to take a urinalysis @ 3. Before I went had another 20 oz of water plus another 10-15 oz of water and urinated one good time and about a half a time before my test! Is there a possibility I will test negative for alcohol?

And that's a fact? I was told that the liver breaks down 8 oz's of alcohol per hr or better depending on metabolism... I've showed a negative screen a few yrs back on marijuana in 7 days... I guess I don't want to hear fail.

After only an hour and a half after drinking it... its not going to clear your system.

But it's less than one unit of alcohol and it is a fact that one unit of alcohol clears your system in about an hr! Plus like I mentioned I diluted it with over 50 oz's of water.

First... it takes time to get into your system... its not 100% absorbed instantly it doesn't even begin to metabolize until it is... second they are also going to detect you were trying to cheat it via dilution...

We aren't talking 18 hours... we are talking an hour and a half.

Besides... you already had the test... what is going to happen already has. Its just a matter of them telling you and the people that ordered the test.

What was the UA checking for, Alcohol or EtG?

If it was for alcohol (EtOH) you probably pass. These tests only measure down to .02 (+/- 25%) and it is unlikely your BAC reached that level. If you drank the beer with your meal, or immediately thereafter about 30-40% of the EtOH was metabolized in your gut and never reached circulation. That's known as First Pass Metabolism (FPM). However, food in your stomach also slows absorption and extends the time for the remaining EtOH to enter circulation. But, as above that should be below level of detection.

So the water-loading may cause you more problems than the alcohol. Any reading of creatinine <20 is considered dilute.

What is your gender, weight and height?

Also, are you certain is was for urinary alcohol. That test can usually be performed on-site making results immediately available.
