    Hot water leaking
The hotwater on my kitchen sink leaks even when the hot water knob is turned off tightly. It doesn't drip it leaks a good bit. So every time I need hot water from this sink I have to turn the waterline on and off. If this is an easy fix what do I need to do to stop this problem.

    Hot water leaking
Remove the hot water knob and cover plate. You will see a brass nut, this is called the bonnet packing nut. Unscrew the nut and back the stem and washer assembly out counterclockwise. Replace the old washer and run your finger nail around the seat. It should be smooth with no nicks or rough spots. If there is then you must replace the seat also. Happy holidays, Tom
