    FMLA - two people involved
My wife is going to have a baby in December. We both work at the same company. We are full time, salaried and have both worked at least 1250 hours in the last year. There are 800 people in the company.

Our HR said only one of us can be approved for the birth of our child. Is this the FMLA law? Is there a way that both of us could take some time off. Perhaps I take care of my wife, and she take care of the baby?

    Do we have options?

Just One of you... not both of you at once... now she can take time... then you can take time when she comes back.

You can burn through your vacation time otherwise...
