I am randomly tested, I call in everyday and if I am selected for testing I have to check the given option on a form and carry it with me to the lab. There are 12 options but as the party being tested I have no idea when given a selected option what I am being tested for. Quest diagnostic is on the form as well as First Lab, I go to various collection points and the sample is sent for testing. I would just like to know what I am being tested for in any given test.

You certainly have the right to know the type and nature of any test that is being performed. Have never heard of blind choice. That leaves you with no ability to challenge mistake or error or to interpret the results.

Given your description of the options that is an administrative form developed by the agency ordering the test and doesn't reflect Quest or First Lab assays.

I would recommend you directly question the agency. That is more like playing pin the tail on the donkey than forensic drug testing.

Talked to the agency today and they would not give me the info for each option. They report that if people knew what the options where that the testing could be compromised based on the infrequence / frequency of each option as not all drugs are tested for on each option. i.e. one os a 12 panel one is for specific prescriptions like sleep aids and another is for OTC meds that are on the list that people in my program are not allowed to take.

If anyone has info I would love to know what each of the 12 options are.

5 of 12 are not optional. Called the SAMHSA five. The added 7 panels are usually not standard but may be selected by the ordering party. You will not find a meaningful list anywhere except the ordering agency.

Here is a 12 panel I picked at random but these may vary from one lab to another but will always contain the basic five.

I know #1 is a 12 panel standard. I think #2 is a 6 panel and adds in the EtG test and #5 picks up otc drugs like antihistamine
