I went to turn my dryer on by pushing the start button and as soon as I let go of it it turned right off. Also the dryer won't heat up at all.. I proped something up against the start button cause I thought it was maybe something wrong with the start button and after it was on for awhile I looked...

It will start but stop after letting go of the start buutom, if you hold the start button in it will run and heat
My Maytag dryer won't stay on.

It cuts off after about 15 seconds. We just had a power surge. We checked the control board and didn't see any damage. It is heating just not staying on.
