What is a holdover in New Jersey does rent control apply here?
Does a landlord as per New Jersey Tenant laws have the right to raise the rent 30% ? In New Jersey, rent control only allows the landlord to raise the rent 2 and 1/2% per month. The lease ended in January, does month to month apply? The landlord did send an e-mail to leave.

Does the landlord have the right to raise the rent like this?
