    Single element hot water heater
    Got a reading on element so replaced thermostat still no hot water, flipped breaker still no hot water. What next?

    Hi Bryanyann

    If you can chase power into the water heater, through the thermostat and into the element and you still don't have hot water then good reading or not, the element must need to be replaced!

    Take careful voltage readings at each leg... should be able to confirm full voltage into element. If not, then could even be a bad NEW thermostat.

    The electrical tester will tell you if you are thorough... ;)
