    Eviction of a lodger sac ca
    Help I have a person living in my garage. They were a guest of my sons pay no rent buy no food and geerally a pain in the . They have been here this time for three months. My son is in jail so he's not here but this person is. They have caused physical damage to the property, physical injury to my grandchild harassed myself and my grandchildren who live with me on numerous occasions. I want to do this the right way. I gave them a 30 day notice to vacate since then they have broken my front door damaged my back door broke my back gate turn off my electricity ( which I turned back on) cut my locks off the breaker box thrown garbage everywhere threatened to throw urine on myself and my grandaughter what can I do the police came out but did nothing I mean nothing.

    You said it - he lives there, he's a tenant.

    You need to evict him according to State law.

    All you can do is keep calling the Police OR attempt to get a restraining order.

    If he qualifies as a lodger under CA law, then when the 30 days are up, he becomes a trespasser and the police will remove him. Do a search on CA lodger rules and then show that to the police when you call them. Tell them you have a trespasser who refuses to leave.
