    Hey,
    Do you know what interest received is? Is it an expense, income or liability?

    Interest that YOU receive is REVENUE.

    It is something that you EARNED.

    So therefore, it is revenue, aka income

    The JE would be:
    Dr. Cash
    Cr. Interest Revenue
