    WINTV Issues
I have a WINTV PCI Card and it doesn't work. Is it something within the BIOS that I need to fix or is it something in the control panel.

When I click on the Application, it freezes up my computer...

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone

    Win TV card
Might be a little late, but according to the spec,WIN TV requires that your VGA adapter support Windows Direct Draw, and I'm sure it does,so don't panic. The system spec for the WIN TV card are a Pentium processor (90mhz min),Windows 98/ME/XP.Dont worry about the Pentium too much.An AMD processor,or Intels other offering, the Celeron, should work fine.
Visit www.hauppauge.com/html/wintv_pci_datasheet.htm which is the product home page, and scroll down to see the supported graphic card list.If yours is not there, then get one that's listed.Maybe that info is also on your product box?
If you do have one of those listed, then visit http://www.tv-cards.com/faq.php where you can get TV card, and driver info, plus lots more.
Don't forget to plug your card into an ariel outlet, once you've got it working. For analog reception, any cheap ariel will do.If you want good digital pictures, then a rooftop, loft,or connection to a cable box is needed.I would also imagine that your WIN TV card came with a set-up disc.Use that first, before updating any driver files.
    Good luck,
    Nez :)

Postscript.Hauppauge cards have been known to perform badily if you are using them with Windows 2000.
