    Yes! A pressure/bladder tank is needed on all pump systems, Regards, Toim

    UNLESS you are simply using it for something like irrigation, filling stock tanks, swimming pools, etc. where you simply need a steady flow and would just cut the pump on and then off. But SB is 100% right in saying that certainly for any kind of home application you would use a tank.
