I have issues with bullies. You know that big kid with a huge sweatshirt on, he wears dog collar necklaces and his baseball caps backwards, he listens to "scary music" and follows no rules. He picks on just about everyone and anyone in his way. He beats you up if you don't hand him your lunch money. Big, mean, tough, scary. Well my friends, that stereotype I explained is the stereotypical bully. (I apologize if any readers have one of these traits). That's not so much the case anymore. And that's definitely not my case. In school, I'm 'that one kid', I guess you could say. I have about four friends, but other than that the kids seem to enjoy picking on me, beating me up, starting fights, spreading rumors, harassment, all these I've experienced. People take me for an easy target, but I put up a fight. People don't take me seriously. I used to not let it get to me, but after years of it I just cracked. I cut, I was depressed, I tried to kill myself. It didn't work.( I'm proud to say I have not been a victim of cutting for 6 months now). I still had problems though. I was still pushed, things were still thrown, I was still teased. Finally school ended. But I forgot an important detail. The main group of people that torment me... Yeah, they all live in my neighborhood. What am I supposed to do?

Is there an adult you can talk to? A lot of schools have 0 tolerance. As peole get older they ted to out grow the need to bully. Is there any classes (martial arts) you can take to help imporve yourself esteem? I was bullied -- picked on-- a lot at school. I was always moving and had to make new friends almost quarterly. Is there other people you can reach out to? The good thing with school being over is you don't HAVE to interact with these people. Branch out, join clubs, join activities, join a team and meet different people.
