    Tried to go blonde.
Ok. Here's the deal. I was bored with my hair color, which is naturally a light brown with red undertones. I first dyed my hair a "blonde" color, but it just ended up looking a little lighter and really, really brassy.
Then I tried to dye it a champagne blonde, which was my goal, but it ended up yellow! :(
I still has the ugly brassy color to it and I don't know what to do! I would really like to have a sandy blonde color with NO REDDISH COLORS in it, but I can't afford to go to the salon (broke college student). What should I do?

Try a toner. You can buy it at a beauty supply store. It should take the brassy tone out of your hair. While you're there, get a really good conditioner or hot oil treatment for damaged hair. You want to try to repair and prevent as much damage as possible, so you don't end up with fried hair. Next time, try highlights or a new cut if you are bored. (I get hair bored frequently, so I've been there done that!)

If you have dark hair and want to go blonde, it will require bleaching and toning. Anything other than that will result in a red/orange shade. I recommend going to the salon and have them fix your hair. But if you can't afford to go to the salon, try using an ash-base color in Ash Blonde. It will neutralize the reddish tones in your hair and bring you closer to the color you are trying to achieve.

well first what kind of product are you using?? i think you should try a almost bleach blond die it should lighten it so much, keep it in an extract 10-15 minutes longer then when your washing it out use the condiciner and a loonie worth of olive oil it will add moisture if you want to lighten it more keep it in longer
    GOOD LUCK
