Hi just had a baby 7 months ago she was 11 weeks early She did well she spent 37 days in the NICU. I had lots of pain and burning feeling down there about a month before I went into preterm labor and the day before I had her they gave me meds to stop contractions never worked. They told me to get a belly band I did and it did not work on November 16th I went into early labor she was born on the 17th on world preemie day. My Doctors were Phenomenal my question is when we did the amnio and the gram stain came back showing an infection I had to deliver my 29 weeker.I had her via c-section due to not dilating past 4 cm I guess my bones do not move lol. But the results came back that I had GBS in my fluid which infected it. Now how does that get into your fluid how does it get through the sac? I am lucky my daughter only needed to have nip-v no breathing tube :) we were very lucky. Now my next pregnancy I will have to go for shots and maybe get the circlage followed by possible bed rest. What can I do to prevent this from happening again? I everything right can I change eating habits I am really confused to how this all happens
