    What does it mean if bathtub gurgles when toilet is flushed?
    When the toilet is flushed, the drain in the bathtub gurgles very loudly. What could be wrong? We have not done anything as yet.

    Its your vent on the roof that is blocked causing air to get pushed through the bath drain you should call a plumber and they have to use a plumbers snake to clear it. I'm having the same problem to.

This problem just recently started and after several fluhes the water is drained from the trap in the bathtub drain and we get sewer gas. The toilet is about 5-6 feet from the toilet. This is in a 50 year old house, but the bathroom was up dated over 10 years ago.
