My beautiful German shepherd King has discospondylitis and his rear legs have paralysis and can no longer go for walks. We are in a difficult financial situation and have limited funds. I really would love to be able go for walks with King. He is not in any pain but looks sad at times. I adopted him seven years ago from the animal shelter and he is the most handsome German shepherd ever. People can't believe I found him in the shelter and I would tell them there are many great dogs like King. Well, not as great but almost. I thought it was hip displexia when I brought him to the vet before Christmas. The x-rays confirm great hips but a problem with the spine. The vet told me this would happen and usually at this point the dog would get put to sleep. I can deal with all the accidents and I'm lucky my husband is strong enough to lift him with towel to go outside for his dog business. It is heartbreaking to watch and the vet said there isn't a cure. He's not in any discomfort but a little depressed. If anyone has one for a dog that's tall and around 95 lbs we would be so thrilled for King. We would definitely give it back or donate it to another or German Shep. Group. We are in the Los Angeles area close to LAX.

You could try checking with GSD rescue in your state and see if they would be able to help you.

Or.. if you're handy, you could make your own.
