Black/white movie comedy -help!
I watched an old movie set partly on Alcatraz or in a prison at least, it was a comedy and the gangsters formed a baseball team. The gang leader made one of his gang always lean into a pitch so he could get on base. I cannot think of actor portraying the leader but I remember him smoking a cigar? Perhaps he played Al Capone at some time? Driving me crazy. Does anyone know this movie?

He is a hip hop white guy being raised by black parents. He has a black girlfriend and is a bit of a dead beat. Everyone is pressuring him to get a job.
