Toilet and kitchen shares the same drain is this legal in any country

[in hamburg germany my kitchen sink shares the same drain with toilet and toilet sink. Is this legal , and what can I do , just found problem after 12 yrs of worst of all the building had no building septic tank exhaust, mistakenly it was left open in my apt.
