    Banging hot water lines
We have a gas water heater. The pipes have always made a noise when turned off. They used to creak and groan for a few minutes. Now when we turn the shower on they start banging and then the hot water goes off so we have to turn the tap up more and more. Any ideas before we get the plumber in would be greatly appreciated.
