Book about a girl and a witch
Im looking for a book for a friend. It's about a young girl who is playing baseball in a field and loses her ball. When she goes looking for it she finds a house with an old lady on the porch. The lady comes out and asks why she's there. The lady takes her home and they became friends. In the end the old lady dies. She leaves the young girl a letter telling her she was a witch and by reading the letter the young girl gains the witches power which was the truth about life. The witch also had a bunch Of cats.
