Why does the fan blower run on and off all day? How can I turn it off and save energy and the fan blower motor from burning out? Please help

What kind of furnace do you have? Is it running because the thermostat is calling for hear?
Does the fan run for a while and then turn off for a while and in the mean time does the fire in the burners come on. Have you checked for a dirty filter. A dirty filter can make your furnace cycle like you are describing. And if you have run the furnace long enough with a dirty filter the evaporator coil can get dirty and do the same thing.

My furnace runs all day [ 3 Answers ]

The burners fire for a minute or two at most then turn off for a minute or two. This repeats all day and it won't get above 64f in the house.
