    Rmp needle drop
    I have a 2001 mercury sable 3.0engine when driving my rmp needle drop down to one the faster I drive the louder my engine gets

    I suspect the problem resides with the tachometer itself. It likely needs replacing, however, you can first check the connections. Working on the dash is never fun; gird yourself for it. Be sure to disconnect the negative battery cable first.
