    Taxes on funds collected from a personal fund raiser
    We are having a fund raiser to help family pay for my daughter-in-law's custodial care. She requires 24/7 custodial care due to brain damage. I need to know any tax liability on the donations collected.

    I would do nothing before consulting with either an Attorney or a CPA. These can be dangerous waters.
