    Bleeding after sex
    I had sex last night and today I started bleeding its not heavy but it has never happened before I've been with my boyfriend for almost 9 years please help I'm really worried

    Are there any other symptoms than the discharge? Is it coming from inside or did you have a tear at the opening? Was there anything different about this time than previous times?

    Do you mind sharing how old you are? I ask because the female body does go through changes as our hormones fluctuate especially as we near menopause. Changes in hormones can affect everything from lubrication to thickness and elasticity of skin making it easier to have bleeding.

    If the intercourse was nothing different than you normally experience, could it have been close enough to your period to perhaps cause the beginning flow to be more pronounced?

    If the bleeding has continued or if you are worried, talk to your doctor. The stress of being worried about what might have happened can make a small issue worse.
