Finding titles to two murder trial books
I am trying to find two books that I had started reading.
1. The first one I think is a British book though not sure. It is about a woman who was killed by her nanny's henchmen but her son witnesses the murder from a secret room and he is testifying at the murder trial. The problem is that his father marries the nanny and doesn't believe the son until towards the end where the son prove that the nanny is a fraud who is already a married woman. 2. The second book is again about a murder trial where a man has confessed to shooting and killing the man who raped and killed his daughter. During the trial it is revealed that the accused is a known sex offender and because of technical flaws in his arrest, he is allowed to walk free from charges of rape and murder. This infuriates the father which is why he takes the law in his own hands. The trial ends with the jury finding the father Not Guilty by simply throwing out the confession made by the father. |
