Redness in nail moons
Does anyone know what it means when the white-appearing moons on the fingernails develop red areas where the edge of the nail touches the skin?
Incidentally, my nails break easily and the general color is pale pink. I've occasionally had Beau's ridges, but not currently. Thanks |

I just noticed the moons in my fingernails (particularly the thumbs) seem to be larger and misshaped.both middle and index finger moons are almost pointed. As well, I have lateral dents in all nails except for the baby fingers and ring fingers. I have always had healthy nails, with large moons,....
I have noticed within the past few days that the 'moons' on my fingernails are starting to disappear. Pinky finger, both hands, moons gone. Fourth finger, right-hand - gone, left-hand disappearing. Does anyone have any idea as to why this would be happening? :(
I am trying to find out what itmeans when your toe nail and finger nail moon get bigger and the nail is pale. The moons on my nails have increased to cover over half of my nails now. What causes that?
