I went to the hospital with cramps and bleeding when I was 6 weeks pregnant.
The hospital ran 2 sets of blood tests 3 days apart, they told me that the hcg hormone levels had declined therefore I was having a miscarriage. They told me to take a pregnancy test a week later to confirm I had passed everything.
I passed what looked like a heavyish period just with a few small clots.
I took a pregnancy test today, two and a half weeks after the start of my miscarriage and the test has come up positive. I only brought the cheapie supermarket brand expecting it to come up negative, only took 30 seconds to turn positive with a very dark line.
Obviously Im trying not to get my hopes up, I would love for the hospital tomorrow to tell me that they made a mistake and somehow I'm still pregnant.
Has anyone got any clue what might have happened? Or if it has happened to you.
The only thing I can think of is 1. I have retained products from the pregnancy 2. I'm still pregnant, might have been pregnant with twins and miscarried one 3. Or simply my hcg levels haven't gone down yet
