Hi, I can't get the brass head screw off because the brass is so soft that the screwdriver twists inside the head. The screwdriver is a flat head one. I got one side off but the other just keeps slipping off. Any ideas on how to deal with this particular problem? I sprayed WD 40 on there but...
Adapt old tub pipe spout

This is a picture of my wall without the old spout (house built in 1952)... now what? Will I be able to find a spout that threads to this large pipe? Or do I adapt the pipe to add a small, normal nipple? If so how? Login | Facebook
Can I replace a slip on tub spout with no diverter to a tub spout with a diverter?

I have a slip on tub spout that has no diverter. I would like to exchange this tub spout with one that has a diverter.

I'm trying to replace my slip-on spout, but I can't seem to find what to unscrew underneath because there appears to be a significant amount of rust. While I certainly hope it doesn't mean that I'm stuck with a leaky spout, I'm kind of at an impasse and was wondering if anybody had any suggestions.

I took off the old tub spout and am replacing it with a new one... just a simple universal one that has a diverter.
