    building a closet
My daughter has an unfinished closet. A hall door opens into it. The closet is all studded in with back and sides open into the attic. The closet has a plywood floor. She wants to use the area between the studs for shelving and install on clothes rod.

I think we should enclose the back of the studs with 1/2" 8'x4' expanded polystryene instulated sheathing. Then, we should seal all of the seams with aluminum tape.

Then, we can add shelving as desired between the studs.

Any flaws? Any suggestions would be most helpful.

    Thanks.

The PS foam will get destroyed by stuff put on the shelf. Id use Luan ply, it's almost as cheap as foam and will last a long time.
