Nonsense. I am the sheik and I say she is not married. Never consummated. Needs to have sex 13 times and they didn't. She is free to go, no haram.

Marriage in Islam - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In Islam, marriage is a contract (Standard Arabic: عقد القران; Egyptian Arabic: كتب الكتاب Katb el-Ketāb; Urdu: Nikahnama) between a man and woman to live as husband and wife. A formal, binding contract is considered integral to a religiously valid Islamic marriage, and outlines the rights and responsibilities of the groom and bride. The marriage must be declared publicly. Divorce is permitted.

In addition to the usual marriage until death or divorce, there is a different fixed-term marriage known as Nikāḥ al-Mutʿah ("temporary marriage") permitted only by Twelvers (a branch of Shia Islam) for a pre-fixed period.
She is indeed married despite the screwed up ID, and only a divorce can free her to marry another. The original Iman from the marriage can guide her best.

As a revert to Islam, she is not following Allahs word when she left her husband for such reasons.
    Was he unfaithful?

I would suggest she speak to the Imam who married them as Talaniman said. If the only problem with her marriage is money problems and words being said, there is still hope for her marriage. And with the help of the Imam, I believe they can reconcile this.

If however, he has cheated on her, or mistreated her, she may seek divorce, again with the guidance of her Imam.
