This movie was set in the Alaskan Tundra somewhere around the turn of the century. A girl came to a mining town and was raped - she cut her face and then started dressing and living as a man in the wilds. It is a love story in a way, she has a chinese guy helping her and he discovers she is a woman and they begin a relationship. She lived the rest of her life as a man and when she died is when the townspeople found out she was a woman. I can see details of this in my mind but I cannot recall the actress's name or the title of the movie - PLEASE HELP!
