    2011 Tax help
    I got married on Dec 31 2010 and my wife came to USA on March 21st 2012. Can I claim her on my 2011 Tax returns? I am a US Citizen and a resident of NJ.

    Which means you can file jointly for BOTH 2010 & 2011.

    Yes; your spouse's physical location is irrelevant. She could be on Mars For all the IRS cares
