US notary in India
My parents were here with me in US for 6 months and unfortunately I have not notarized their passports while they were here to get the tax exemptions for their travel and stay with me. When I asked my tax consultant here he told me to get the notarized copies of the passports from India from an authorized US Notary for the tax claims. Can anyone tell me if we have anybody in Hyderabad, AP?
Thanks a ton.

They can be done at the US Embassy, you may wish to contact them, to see if there is any other locations but I doubt it.

If the embassy or U.S. consulate cannot help you, you will need to get the passport AND visa pgotocopies notarized by an Indian notary, then you get an apostille from the Indian Interior Ministry.
You will then submit these documents with Form W-7 and your tax return.
Due to the complexity, you may want to use a Certifying Acceptance Agent. I am a CAA, and if you want my help, look up my email address in my profile.

@Anilsaroj:
You will need to get a new passport first. The IRS will not issue an ITIN if the passport is not valid.

Agreed; you need to get a new passport for your son.
