Normal pulse rates for an adult rest between approximately 60-100 BPM at rest -- depending on your age, gender and level of activity (an athlete may have a lower pulse rate)

Your heart rate can also rise normally with stress, illness, pain or certain physical conditions like pregnancy. If you exercise, you can find online calculators to find your "target heart rate"

Be aware that your pulse rate (and your blood pressure) will change slightly throughout the day. Taking measurements at different times can give you an idea of what's normal for you.

If you have other symptoms, talk to your doctor.
