Kenmore Elite Ultra Wash Dishwasher doesn't start. Will set what is needed to wash dishes hit the start button beeps about 10 times then stops. Sometimes starts automtatically but it is rare

I would look at the float in the bottom of the tub and make sure it isn't stuck, and I would look carefully to make sure something is not stuck under the spray arm or the drain is not plugged up. If the float is stuck it will do exactly what it's doing now.

Same thing happened to my Kenmore Elite... no lights on the control panel but every 30 seconds or so it beeped about 10 seconds and repeat.

I cut the power at the breaker box... came back upstairs and hit start. All is well
