    Why do I feel like this
    After splitting from my partner of 6 years and returning to UK after living in Spain for almost 5 years and now been here in the uk for nearly 3 years I am feeling like my life is not worth living. I feel alone though I have friends , my job is just a job I live in a tiny place which I should be grateful for. I've been on dating sites in the hope of finding a new partner to no avail. I work, eat, sleep just that everyday. If I go out for walks I'm alone a lot of the time. Please don't tell me to volunteer to help people ! I've seen my doctor who has put me forward for counselling. I've tried anti-depressents I can't stand them. My doctor says I'm still in Trauma from my broken relationship and having to come back from Spain homeless. I'm 60 years old and feel like I'm going insane! Any answers would be truly helpful.

    What was your life like, prior to moving to Spain.

    Your relationship lasted six years, with five of them in Spain if I read this right. You've been back in the UK (I presume you are from the UK) for three years,

    Are you saying you are not over your ex after all this time? The trauma your Doctor assesses, is due to splitting up and returning homeless?

    I don't understand why this has gone on for three years now, and you are not homeless, and you have a job.

    Are there other contributing factors not mentioned here? Your prior life in the UK, before your partner for example- has that life returned to what it was before you went?

    The friends you have, you don't mention that you go out much with them, nor do you mention any interests or activities that you may have had in your life before Spain. Do you have anything that you like to do, or want to do and just don't have the energy or desire? Why don't you put some energy into just 'getting out there'.

    Counselling is a good idea to try to unravel why you are stuck in this rut.

    Am I wrong in saying that this involves more than a broken relationship?
