How can you sue Utah state bar association for not doing right by you?
I feel stupid but I can not let this go.

Back in 2008 I left my husband due to abuse. The three attorines I hired were usless and I reported two of them to the Utah State Bar. The Utah State Bar sided with the attornies even with the proof I gave them that showed they did not do what I hired them for.

How do you sue the Utah state bar? Is there anyone that watches over them?

You might have to let this go, because when you sit down and think about it you might realize careful thought would have to be which state the lawyer you hire will be from. He/she couldn't be from Utah, they all belong to the bar association or they would not be practicing. Another good point is, how much money do you have? Secondly, would you be prepared to lose a lot of money?

Exactly what did you hire these lawyers to do for you ?

I don't believe you can (with any hope of success). They found that you failed to prove your case. That's the end of it.

That would be the Utah Legislature or the people of Utah.

First you can't, Attorneys are merely members of the bar, The bar will investigate if they did anything would cause them to be disbarred or punished in some way.

Next I am sorry , but attorneys will do what they can, legally, but it is not always what you want done. And often they will lose.

So what did you want done ? And why or how did they not do it.

Since three separate attorneys are blamed, I would say it had more to do with what you wanted done, than the attorneys.

A state bar association does not answer to you. The purpose of a Bar Association is to admit lawyers to the bar and provide services to lawyers. They do monitor professional conduct and answer to the Utah State Supreme court. OPC Services

So if you want to try to take them to court for not disciplining the attorneys you hired, you would need to file with that court.

But I suggest you think long and hard about this. You are asking lawyers to discipline their own. So you better have an iron clad case.

    Just what is your complaint?
